About Paula

Paula Vlahakos brings nearly 3 decades of exemplary experience to the voters of Harris County, including private practice with esteemed specialty family law firms and her tenure as an Associate Judge for the 247th District Court in Harris County. A proven legal professional and jurist, Paula has dedicated her career to representing and serving families with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to justice for all members of our community.

Paula understands the challenges families face in the courtroom, and is committed to treating each litigant with dignity. No litigant is the same, no fact set is the same, and Paula will use her extensive experience and comprehension of the law to ensure every case is treated appropriately, and given the time and attention it deserves. Paula is honored to have received a dual endorsement from the Houston Association of Women Attorneys. Paula graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice, received a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Houston and earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1998. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1999. While in law school Paula was a member of the Law Review.
